Specifically made to cater to the installation needs of a growing demand for Large Format porcelain and ceramic tiles (deemed as tiles larger than 15” [38 cm] on any given side).
Driven by increased affordability, attractive designs and customers preference for less grout joints the popularity of larger format tiles has increased tremendously. These tiles however are heavier and pose greater challenges for even the most seasoned tilers to properly install.
Our Premium LFT Thin set is a special tile setting mortar formulated with graded sand and special additives, designed to provide installers with more “slump” and “sag” support than traditional thin sets and which helps to eliminate “lippage”. (Lippage is a condition which occurs when adjacent tile edges are not flush with one another)
Applied on well graded or even substrates our Premium LFT Thin set mortar can be used as a thin setting mortar from ⅛” (3mm) or as a medium bed mortar up to ¾” (19mm) thick on uneven wall and floor surfaces.
