Specialty Minerals imports and distributes blasting abrasives which are used in the oil and gas sector, the marine sector and construction industries alike. We represent reputable brands such as US Minerals who manufacture Black Diamond and Blastrite who are based in South Africa.

For years abrasive blasting has been the preferred method for onsite surface preparations and is a safer alternative for sand and shot blasting, as our blast media produces no airborne silica particles when used.

Our blasting abrasives have been extensively used in the maintenance of heavy industrial, petroleum and petrochemical plants. They are also used in the shipyards of the Yachting and Boating sectors for cleaning boat hulls and ship superstructures during the drydock repairs and out hauling process.

Our abrasive blasting media include copper slag and platinum slag which are available in a range of gradations which can be used to blast clean steel, stone and concrete surfaces removing millscle, rust, old paint, dirt and hard to remove coatings and corrosion and prepare surfaces for paint.

All our available blasting abrasives offer a high production rate and are low dusting blast media.Comprised of angular particles which are uniform in weight and gradations, our blasting grits offer fast cutting strength which impact your project’s duration, profitability and succes .
